Fine photographs, Omega. :handclap:
I take it that the third one is of Birkenhead Priory, is that right?

When is that wreck going to go? Insurance must surely pay to remove it. It is an embarrassment.

Spot on Chris, thanks Ged, I think it should be put back in one piece when they have moved it. Do you Know the history of that wreck Waterways? I've asked around but can,t get any info.

From memory. Went on fire about 20 years ago. The MDHC should remove it, as their own insurance should cover that. They charge for berthing so they should insure the docks for all mishaps.

Its sad to see that boat all rusty and left to pollute the water around it.. Obviously, if it was burned ,( 20 years ago), the Navy or whoever is in charge of the docks.. maybe need some citizens to bring it to their attention again??? That picture is a good source to send to them... :snf (41):

I did get told that the sunken boat in the docks was a result of someone pinching some scrap which resulted in a leak. Something brass but I am not nautical so can't say what it was. It's quite a few years now but the figure given for just getting it out of the water was in the tens of thousands. It is an eyesore and the dock board should sort it out.

Must have been a valve - a non-return valve.
