View Full Version : What a Vision

I was walking by the river today with a steady drizzle dropping down cloaking the riverbank and leaving everything soaking wet. The tide was well out so there was a lot of riverbed exposed and the clouds of tiny wading birds were making the most as they scurried about probing the muddy sand and devouring every juicy morsel they found.

The larger heron stood statuesque in the shallows using her exceptional eye sight to spot the shrimps and tiny fish that foolishly would swim too close to that lightening fast beak on that gun slinger fast neck. It darted down so fast even the fastest swimmer would struggle to move out of its hungry way.

Then out of the rocky wall skipped the brave red breasted boover boy of the bank. He squared up to bigger birds that had dared to come into his hunting ground.

As I was returning to the warmth of the car I seen a vision in the distance slowly coming towards me. I got in out of the rain and settled to wait and get a closer look. My old eyes weren't playing tricks on me as the vision came close and I could see the long heavy wooden Rosary Beads swinging with every short stride the jogging nun in full traditional habit took. Her tiny circular specs were s misted by the steady spray hitting her face she nearly ran into my stationary car.

Could you imagine the looks of disbelief there would have been had she clattered into my car and I had to contact my insurance company.

Would it have been described as Hit A Nun?
