I love to sit in the warmth tonight
Watching it flutter down in the light
The orange glow of the street lights shine
As the fluffy flakes come down the line
They twist and turn as they tumble down
Making their way towards the ground
The dark green hedge it's colour goes
As the fluffy flakes continue to grow
The copper water feature sits so still
Nothing falls from the holes they drill
The smooth pebbles below they lay
Waiting for their summers day
The once bright cars they look forlorn
No chance of moving before the morn
The tarmac black disappears from sight
It's covered now in a sheet of white
The temperature drops to minus four
No chance of me going out the door
The wind is rising from the West
Staying inside is sounding best
Come tomorrow morning it'll be piled high
There's tons coming down from the sky
It's drifting floating growing great
I hope the kids don't stay out late
