The hill it was cloaked
Hidden from view
A walk in that rain
Was all I could do

The wind lashed my face
And it carried a punch
The rain was like ice
As each slap it did crunch

My tears they ran freely
As we struggled along
The salt in my sweat
It stung at my eyes

My ears they were burning
They glowed bright red
I needed a hat
To cover my head

The good thing about walking
On a day as rough as this
No one else you encounter
And there's a feeling of bliss

I got back from the shops and the same Ferry boat that we were on passed up the Mersey, clearly in view from my street. That was another cold day Gerry which you described so well.
