Nice pic Joe. I used to go running along the canal bank and at that Melrose Road/Commercial Road/Stanley Road junction, there is a magnificent feat in engineering above you as the railway line traverses one way and the road (which is pretty wide) goes over both the canal and the railway line at another angle.

I remember when the same view was full of rail wagons full of coal. It was one of the biggest depots in Liverpool. It had its own coal hopper which was capable of lifting the wagons and emptying them.
