"What has Inspired you Today?"

Thought it would be interesting to start this thread to hear ~ Each Day ~ ONE thing that inspired you .. and a small answer to WHY (if you so like to add to it... )


Okay... I will start:

I was inspired today by: " Good Will " from 2 ladies I didn't know..

They saw I was purchasing a lop-sided cake...LOL, ( I hadn't noticed ), and they took it upon themselves to tell the lady "GET her another" . They went there all the time.. and were being helpful.. That was so nice.. 'cause it was for a birthday... TA to those 2 ladies...

I watched a TV show from channel 4 about the history of curry in the UK. It inspired me to make a curry with my last jar of Patacks curry paste. It is delicious but I cant make any more until next time I go to Memphis which is the nearest town that has an Indian grocery store.

The good folks at Evans Cycles, who have just opened a new store at the Trafford Centre, have sent me some money off vouchers since I'm a valued customer at their other Manchester store. They've inspired me to go and spend lots of money

I was inspired to get my lazy carcas on the treadmill before 12pm today.

I was reading a Jamie Oliver Cook book and saw a delish recipe for shortbread i was inspired to make it and delish it is..

The weather was so warm and lovely today.. My moggies woke up early and it inspired me to get meself up and out for a nice early walk around China Town..Lots of fresh veggies and fruits to be bought there... Then, washed my car, and then.... drove to Pearl Harbor area.. (another shopping Mall ) and looked about ... all new stores.. Came home and MADE a fresh veggie and wild rice soup......I was inspired..

A can of Red Bull has inspired me today

My busy housewife & mother mundane daily routine doesn't give me much inspiration ! ha! I don't get much time to smell the roses !

I was inspired to ring up the Council and arrange a Council Tax Direct Debit. The inspiration came from a final reminder.

I was inspired today: I had a bucket of water waiting to clean the windows, and when I looked in ... a small winged bug (wings spread out) legs kicking ...was gasping to survive.. It must of wanted some water and fell in..

Poor little bug... I saved its life ... I watched it dry off and then fly away..

Made me feel good..All Mother Natures creatures~ (no matter how insignificant it may seem) Deserve a second chance if you can help them get it.. Amen...PEACE

That's what I would do too. rescue the little thing and let it fly off.


It's true that sometimes it's possible to see inspirational things in mundane tasks - like the picture I posted in another thread of an ordinary tree stump - it looked quite stunning with it's frosty pattern.

I know I have felt inspired on certain days, when mundanely walking through Liverpool city centre, to come across a crowd of people - when it is busy with tourists and guides showing groups of visitors around the town - I love it when you feel that buzz.

what,s inspiring me at this time is that there is a starling moved into the hole in our eaves. We think that it is one of the babies from the last brood come back to start her family. We han hear her walking up and down of a night, sounds like she,s got Doc Martins on

I was looking at two starlings yesterday in the supermarket carpark.
Just two ordinary birds you might say, in an ordinary place - but they caught my eye with their bright patterned feathers. The light was shining on them and picked out all the detail.

Hi Lilac reading your reply this am has inspired me to write understanding your love of Italy Florence is truly beautiful also the Trevi Fountain the Sistine Chapel . My wish is to go back again one day and to also learn the beautiful language.

My dentist today ... he inspired me to make Soft noodles for dinner... LOL.. Too expensive NOT to listen to the guru of Teeth...
