The student who created a website to raise $1m is now one week away from achieving his goal. Alex Tew, 21 from Cricklade in Wiltshire, went online with milliondollarhomepage.com (http://milliondollarhomepage.com/), which is divided into 10,000 squares. Each square costs $100 and provide links to the buyers’ own sites. So far he has made $999,000 and the remaining 10 squares are being auctioned on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5652179487&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:UK:31) with a deadline of January 11.I’ve already sold 999,000 pixels of advertising space on MillionDollarHomepage.com but, due to exceptionally high demand for pixels, I decided to do the most logical thing and auction the final 1,000 pixels. Arn’t we all green with envy?
