For you Christmas has become a dread
The pressure of providing crushing your soul
The whirl wind of consumerism blown you out
The memory of loved ones no longer there to share
For you have lost the real Christmas
The Christmas when you woke to joy
The thrill of presents left by the bearded one
The awe of watching the first snow flakes fall
The secret of a wonderful Christmas is easy to achieve
Just give until you can give no more
Just love until your ready to burst
Just try and try again until you get it right
Just remember the great times with loved ones past
And snow isn't always the greatest thing to come
Enjoy every little thing that comes your way
The smile on a face, the tear in an eye
The smell of cooking and the pleasure of colours
And the rain? Remember the droughts in countries who don't have it
Your having a Merry Christmas
Just learn to enjoy what you have
