Couldnt beleive I was hearing Sol Campbell last night. He's upset that Spurs fans hold up pieces of paper with 'Judas' written on them, a reference to him running down his contract at Spurs in 2001 and joining their bitter rivals on a free transfer for a hefty pay rise. He wants the authorities to take action as its effecting his human right to play football.

Luckily Robbie Keane is not being over sensitive and sees it as banter.

Some stuff, such as racial abuse, is out of order, but much of what goes on is part of the game. How about the fans turning round and demanding some protection from fan abuse such as players feigning injury, kissing the badge on their shirt one week and putting in a transfer request the next, complaining if they have to play twice in a week and changning their cars every couple of weeks.

The players need to grow up. The way football is going they'll be playing in empty stadiums in ten years because the relationship between fans and players is wider than ever.

He made a remark that if such abuse was given in the street, you'd be arrested. Yes, and if some of those so called tackles were made in the street instead of the pitch, they'd be jailed for GBH.

Purple Ackie is watching the outcome closely. ;)

Phil Neville claims that it is only a matter of time before a fan assaults a player, but acknowledges some players need to conduct themselves better in public.
