“Did you know….
in 1894 eight-year-old Florence Allan of Garston was out for some fresh air. The young girl was disabled and as such had to be transported around in a perambulator by a nurse. On February 4 whilst out in St. Mary’s Road, the perambulator was forced over by the force of a particularly gusty gale which sent Florence head first down to the flagstones She died shortly afterwards.”
