It may not be your Mersey but it means as much to us here.

Here is the Foyle Bridge

This is looking across at the Lisahally docks at sunset, the German Uboats surrendered into it at the end of WWII.

This is a sad picture of a young tree washed down by the storm. We had to search it branches looking for a friend.

Thanks, Gerry. Great photographs. Gerry, are you saying the branches of the drowned tree were searched because a friend had died and it was thought his body had perhaps tangled up there? Thanks for clarifying.

Yes Chris unfortunately we had to search every clump of seaweed and fallen tree for his body. We swept the river banks at every low tide which was twice each day. He was finally found after 16 days when the sandbank released his body up. The photo of me out on the sandbank up stream was where he was found but thankfully I wasn't close when he popped up.

Here's the picture of the spot.
