John Suffield was a betting shop manager killed in 1981 in Lodge Lane. Two men were later convicted of murder, apparently on the basis of a confession by Raymond Gilbert (made without a solicitor present after 2 days of questioning)that implicated John Kamara. Kamara has his conviction quashed in 2000, whilst Gilbert remains in jail 26 years on, parole being denied because he now inists he did not commit the crime. Even the father of the victim is calling for Gilbert's release.

I'm sure I knew John's (Suffield) brother Paul. We used to play football together when we were kids.
