No, not a new goal post. It's just that there hasn't been a new posting on the LIVERPOOL thread by a LIVERPUDLIAN for quite some time as they spend all their time reading about EVERTON and posting on the EVERTON thread and i'd hate you to feel left out. ;)

Don't get me wrong, like I said, I like it and as Souness said, the city's full of EVERTONIANS.

Er the last time I checked the Liverpool forum had about twice as many posts and twice as many threads started as the Everton one had.

Let me guess, it must be the million Norwegians that infiltrate Liverpool disguised as Scousers every time we have an open top bus ride around the city.

Seriously Ged, I'd have thought you'd be more grateful that Liverpool supporters take the time to breath a bit of life into Everton's sleepy forum ?

That's the thanks you get eh ?:unibrow:

Ha ha Scouse, I sat with baited breath hee hee. - but when was the last one?

You can tell when a teams doing well, the forums dead. I prefer to go on Blue Kipper or our official site for serious blues talk, this being a general forum but thanks for your contributions :PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Contrast that to the phone-ins on city, merseyside and century since sat night - phew - you'd think Lfc were getting relegated some were saying they won't bear to watch tonight and against Utd :)

I think you'll win tonight, possibly the help of the ref but either way you'll still be in Europe come what may with the Uefa cup anyway :disgust:
I'm not into 2nd chances btw and that goes for any team.

I couldn't help thinking looking at the league table that we both should be on 28, know whatta mean? :unibrow:

No, we should be on 33 if we were to win our game in hand. Know what I mean? :unibrow:

When my pa-in-law was nearly my age now - 1972 - Everton had more top flight trophies than Liverpool. Not that long ago really, I remember being 10 very well :)

From the late 70s onwards was when all the bandwagonners latched on.

Know whatta mean.

And...... if trophies maketh the team - does a No.1 make it a hit record. Please enter Mr Blobby and Bob the builder ha ha.

Best penalty kings maybe.... oops there's another one :unibrow:

Nevertheless.....come on Liverpool.

Don't worry Ged, at some stage your small team will bravely hold a big team to a draw and then go through on penalties. Then you can release a video about it....

Erm, yes. Whether you like it or not is a different matter.....

Had the same amount of Lges as far as I know

Blue Kipper - yes, there are good and bad parts to it.

Top flight Trophies up until 1972. Yes - same amount of leagues but not F.A. Cups I think, no, I know you'll find - nor Charity Shields since both teams show them on their roll of honour. In fact they used to say the Liver bird would fly away when lfc won the f.a. cup as it took them until 1965.

However, I do admit, Liverpool are a great cup team, I expect they'll win one this season too. ;)

Hope I haven't rattled anyones cage :PDT_Aliboronz_24:

I remember my Evertonian mate clinging on to 'We won more Derby's than you so we are the better team' line for years.

I bet thats more than you expect of Everton though?

It's more in hope with Everton Asbo but then expectations are lowered when not as much is spent but the difference is, we know our failings but even after 17 years of chasing the holy grail - yous don't. It's a funny old game as Greavsie said because I thought Marseille were better than Reading ;)

My bugbear was Everton always fielding weakened teams in the league cup due to having a small squad and saving them for the inevitable bottom of the table battle instead, this year we didn't and see the difference, though the law of averages says our 10 game unbeaten run must come to an end sometime and I can't see us beating West Ham twice in succession on the road but there's that word hope again.
