Its beyond belief sometimes that the police and CPS can run down a certain route, maybe out of desperation to secure a conviction, maybe out of incompetence.

The two lads who stood trial are not nice people but as the judge said, just because they have photos of weapons in their phones doesnt mean they are capable of shooting a woman and setting her alight. The basis of the case for the prosecution seems to be that one of these lads brother was killed by a car in which Lucy's boyfriend - the intended target - was a passenger 12 years ago and they spoke on the phone to each other after the murder.

This weekends Echo describes how Lucy's boyfriend had upset a few people in the local area and just two days before the murder had set somebody's sofa on fire in retaliation to being punched in the face a month before. It seesm strange the police havent looked too much down this route, although it could be because the boyfriend told them enough to try and build a case against the other two.

The long and short of it is because of this wasted trial a killer that left 3 children without a mother is still walking the streets 2 years on and thats horrendous.

Having worked with so called problem children and teenages there was a great difference. Some people are labled from an early age and not always correctly society doesn't always get it right when judging others. You can see some people who you find out are devoid of feeling and no matter what will cause problems and grief to others at no expense to themselves, you will also find people who have made mistakes and through help and education can and are willing to change for the better. I understand we are all able to see people differently and that applies to male and females, and yes we can all be blinded by our hormones and get into terrible situations but it doesn't make all bad people evil.

Not really on topic. My point was a lot of girls love the 'bad lads'. You know, always fighting, deal drugs, own a gun, etc which happens a lot amongst young teen girls. But someone whos got kids and still goes for these types are putting there kids at risk. Now i don't know if Lucy was one of these girls, it may have been she did not know the lads background, but i would like to think that women who go for these type of men learn from Lucy. If to be excite you a man has got to get into fights or be dangrous then these girls bring it on themselves.
