PhilipG 12-01-2007, 10:49 AM Let's have all your seasonal snaps here.
They had reindeer in Blackpool, but I didn't want to frighten them by using flash, so I'm sorry that the pics are a bit dark.

wsteve55 12-02-2007, 12:39 AM Why would it ruin a kids Xmas?
Come on, you know well, why! A child's idealism, and harsh, adult, reality! There's precious little chance of a child remaining as such, for very long these day's, though I understand the culture where you now live, is different, and the picture would be relatively meaningless to the local kid's!

Got loads of towns christmas lights on my camera.
Needed a few goes before I got decent ones.
Street lights ruin the Church Street ones.

PhilipG 12-18-2007, 12:45 AM Nice, Lindy.
Here's a festive looking shop in Garston.
Not many businesses advertise themselves as "Hgh Class" these days.
They'll even make up "Bokays" of flowers.

chippie 12-24-2007, 10:03 PM Twas Christmas night on the forum
outside snow was floating down,
I was typing out my story and Max was photographing town.
Chris was telling us about Baltimore
while Jimmy was writing out his jokes
Cat and Molly celibrating and Lottie in facebook poking blokes.
Now Gerry in Donegal old Ireland was singing a lovely song of Erin
and Drone, Kebabman, Ged and Steven,
was in a pub in town with Kevin.
The newbies were singing carols and seniors drinking rum
while Kev was stuck on the toilet, causing quite a hum
Then all of a sudden sweetcheeks came running in and then a pause
for in the corner large as life was shytalk, all in red as Santa Claus
The moral of this story folks, is keep it light and tell your jokes
and don,t forget to put yer stockin, out tonight but make sure you,ve darned the holes.
The bigger the stocking is the bigger the disappointment will be.
and Ged sure has got a big one.:PDT_Piratz_26:
:)
chippie 12-24-2007, 10:25 PM On the fist Christmas when the shepherds and wise men had knelt in adorationbefore the baby Jesus, the Christ child, Mary and Joseph put a few twigs - all they could find - on a small fire in the stable.
It was bitterly cold and though Mary wrapped her baby as well as she could, she feared he might suffer.
Unseen in the darkness, a little brown bird perched on a beam supporting the roof. Like the donkey and the cattle, it sensed that something wonderful was astir.
When the fire began to burn low, the small bird flew down, stood close to the embers, and with it,s tiny wings, fanned them into flickering flames, and it kept on doing this till dawn, it,s own feathers becoming singed.
That little bird so the story goes, was the robin, which ever since has had a red breast, a symbol of it,s devotion to our Lord....
It is of course only a legend; but perhaps too, a challenge to our own service to Christ.
