Apparently he thinks being asked to run around for 3 hours a week is too much and has said that if Steven Gerrard was a racecourse the RSPCA would be involved. Perhaps if Gerrard hadnt been forced to play for England despite a foot injury he wouldnt have lost his form whilst playing for the club and fans that pay his wages.

I agree with your sarcasm on both points Ste.
Take his wage slip and dissect it by hours played and present that to Gordon Taylor - he can use mine in comparison if he likes - the fool.
I remember Neville Southall being injured at bumpy Lansdowne Road whilst playing Wales in Ireland. He landed awkwardly and missed the 86 F.A. cup final and the run-in where Bobby Mimms was just no comparison. Peter Reid also got injured for us playing for England and we missed his influence in centre mid during his spell out.
I used to dread the International breaks in the 1980s where only Derek Mountfield was somehow the only one at home, even Inchy was drafted into the under 21s as an overage player - the rest were full Internationals.
It's the price paid though for having some of the best players around.
I remember that Southall one, played a part in Liverpool doing the Double. Taylor is the highest paid union rep in the country on a salary of over £500,000 a year, ten times as much as players in the 4th division (the ones he should really be concerned about rather than these self obsessed idiots in the Premiership) make.
