They are Liverpool records office ones John and one of their expectors is on his way round to yours now as you're supposed to credit them ;)
Also, the pic of the day is supposed to be your own work but we'll let you off this time because you mustn't have known.
If you go on port cities or the council's own archives, you can get hundreds of these, like I have done and saved them for personal use. I did get permission to use the ones in my books though.

The photo in the court has snow on the ground, which is turning to slush. I used to love it when the snow fell. The old grimy, black coloured streets would for a day or a few hours look absolutely wonderful - like they where in a different ideal world.

Yes Hadassah Grove road is sort of rough cobbled. Dirt track really these days. The paving stones in the photo lead from the pavement through the garden to the front door of the house.

Nice photo Lindylou. Many of Liverpool's 19th C great and good are buried at St Nicholas. Two come to mind William Imrie, co founder of the White Star Line and Robert Horsfall whose family founded many churches in Liverpool.

Nice photo, Lindy.
St Nicholas was quite a popular name for Liverpool churches.
Off the top of my head there's Liverpool's Parish Church, the Greek Church of St Nikolas, and the Pro-Cathedral in Hawke Street.
Oh, and he was the patron saint of prostitutes.
Honest.

Especially when you consider what was on the site before.
The Theatre Royal.
Yes, which became the union cold stores.
Talking of prostitutes, I saw one being arrested on Shaw street last night, she grabbed the coppers wedding tackle and I heard him say 'Come on, you're only making it harder for yourrself'.

What a lovely picture, it is a shame that people think Liverpool is a dump. It is full of beauty!
As Philip has said though, this has now been demolished, another place the Beatles played too. Just a wasteground at the moment, another one, like the Crown pub site on the East Lancs on another main thoroughfare.

Had doubts just after posting it that it was in fact one of mine but it turns out it is.
