View Full Version : Bluetooth
Just got a new phone with Bluetooth, been trying to suss it out and have realised that my computer does not have bluetooth, so now I will have to go and buy a USB Bluetooth adapter.
Has anyone got Bluetooth in their car, how much did it cost and do you need to look like a nerd from Thunderbirds or is there a better way.
( nerd from Thunderbirds you ve seen them in their cars and even worse the ones that walk around the supermarkets, I am so busy, I cant miss a call while I buy my milk and bread)

I dont have bluetooth, can't be doing with looking like a nerd with thunderbirds. I had the same problem with you in that the computer doesnt have it either, but found a dongle on ebay for £2.

Hello John
When you talk about Bluetooth is it that thing you have in your ear???
I must say that although it might make it safer driving "handless" as they say, I believe, working as I do in the health field, that might make you more susceptible to brain cancer, which is something that you might think about.
Studies out of Sweden by Anders Ahlbom and colleagues appear to show that electromagnetic fields make people more susceptible to cancer. So whenever I see anyone with one of these things in their ear I really have to cringe at the possible consequences.
All the best
Chris

I only use bluetooth to exchange photos and videos on my mobile for free.I scanned for near by phones once but don't want strangers accessing my phone so only use it in private. I'm not sure what else you can do with it
I have now sussed out how my phone and computer now talk to each other, I have copied all my contacts on my phone to my computer, if anything happens to my phone I can download all the info onto another phone.
I have backed up everything off my phone which is handy.
I can send music to my phone from CD or itunes.
I can use my phone like a personal organiser and download onto my computer which I am going to do on my works computer.

My mate rung me up today he is a farmer in Wales.
His cow was sick so he rung up the vet, the vet came out and told him the cow had blue tongue.
My mate said he didn't even Know the cow had a mobile phone.

What on phone or computer?
On both.
Its called fishing and its pretty easy for a non -to-clever person to be able to get your info.
There's gadgets available that scan for such things.
