Hi All

In truth a middle of the table performance by Liverpool. The team that was going to take the Premiership by storm this season, was lucky to scrape a draw. Pathetic, really. Things started well with the Varonin goal but Liverpool were unable to capitalize and a talented Tottenham side cashed in with two goals by Robbie Keane. From then on Liverpool were chasing the game and panic stations ensued, which should never have happened.

Why weren't Pennant and Babel on the field at the same time?

This was the same problem in midweek in the loss to Marseille when Pennant and Babel were not even on the bench. Forwards are going to struggle when they are not given service and here was another match where the Liverpool forwards did not get the service they should have.

Today, Liverpool were lucky to scramble a 2-2 draw that they did not deserve, but perhaps the greatest lesson is that at present Liverpool FC are nowhere near title challengers right now. Winners of the Premiership don't have to chase matches.

Rafa needs to strip Gerrard of the captaincy. When things are going badly and players are need inspiration none is forthcoming from him.

Babel needs to be in the team more too, my only criticism of him is he keeps the ball too long sometimes and tries to go past too many, but at least he goes for goal and tries to get shots in unlike some of the others. The incident where Torres laid off for Voronin and he teed up Gerrard instead of shoot was abysmal.
