Well don,t yer know I,m ever so upset. I,ve just found out that my balloon shorts don,t fit me anymore so I can,t put them on to watch the Tudors tonight.
I haven,t worn them for years, since I was a 28" waist in fact.
I am going to be very miserable watching telly tonight....ha ha

The first episode was quite good.
All that flesh!
It was educational to know that the Paris we saw was in France.
Just as well we were told, because I always confuse Paris with Paris, Texas!
I enjoyed it too, nice to see one with Henry VIII as a young man an dnot the big fat bearded lout he is portrayed as.

If any of you liked Quantum Leap when it was on, you may like this new series just aired on US TV Network.
Journeyman is about a guy who physically travels in tim helping people. Its very watchable, a bit soapy in some places, because he does return to the future and has to convince his wife that he is travelling in time.
Very good stuff all in all

I watched the first one but won't be watching any more - there are so many things wrong from a historical costume point of view that I don't have much faith in the historical accuracy of any of it.
And didn't Henry have sandy/red hair?
All that nowadays lipgloss and highlighted hair - rubbish!
I hate it! If it were not highlighted with liberal bonking scenes nobody would watch it at all.

The costumes aren't historically accurate simply because they had to be easily removed for the bonking scenes.
That's the truth!
I'm still enjoying it, but Robin Hood is spoiled for me by all the modern phrases that are used, and the "Jokey" style of the dialogue.

Looks like the Tudors is a love it or hate it thing then!
I think the BBC want it to be educational but know that people get bored with all the bare bones of history and political stuff, so turn it into a bit of a bonkfest to tempt people in...
yes those clothes just seem to fall off at the slightest effort......

I meant to watch this series but I just havn't had time to catch it.
I don't fancy it now tho' after hearing some of the criticisms - -I love anything about the Tudors but I prefer it as a serious subject and not some raunchy romp !
