Having done a few little explores including the Seaman's Orphanage, Vulcan studios, Eldon Grove, Everton Library, Ogdens tobacco factory, Bridgewater Street warehouses, The large objects museum and the White Star building, (some photos to follow in the future) it was up to Elm Terrace for our next one. Careful where we walked as it looked like nobody had for quite some time and the floors was a bit fragile, it was a bit like going back to when I was a teenager which didn't have me remembering as far back as my co-explorers.

Seeing this takes me back to the 60's / 70's when there were plenty of old houses to explore, we called bombdies !

Great pics Ged.

Mart, it was great, you should have been there.

Kevsy. me and a couple of mates did the Waterloo Tunnel c1979 but not primarily voluntarily. I'll try to find the thread from way back but basically some gypsies down by Pall Mall who had caravans around near the entrance legged it after us and we ran into the tunnel which could have been the worse thing we couldv'e done but it turned out alright in the end and eventually our eyesight adjusted to the dark. We could see we were going uphill as the tunnel entrance we'd left far behind was now only a sliver of light.

We passed the mattresses, bike frames, prams and a host of other discarded items at the Byrom st cutting and noticed Fontenoy Gardens as we looked up. Going further on and we came to the ventilation shaft at Norton street - still there behind the coach terminus. A great day in the end.

Byrom street cutting - taken in the 80s.

And then funnily enough talking about the cuttings. After Elm Terrace we explored around the University and were able to take a gander into the cutting on the Lime st to Edge Hill line.

Cheers, there certainly is. The shell must be left up due to its significance, not sure if it's listed but they could do with blocking access to it so easily. If developers get it which i'd rather they do than not, you can bet the interior would nothing like its original use.

You could be right there Zap, taking into account he clambered through all that undergrowth and it was at Elm house , then you might say he would sleep like a log :):)

Hi Lenka, Wavertree Botanical Gardens is open every day isnt it . It is just an extension of the Park, been there loads of times, admittedly walking the dog but he is only a little fella. Wouldnt worry too much about scallies with Dogs, if you want me to take some shots for you then just ask. As for Littlewoods building the Urban Explorer group have been there but reported back that there was not much of interest, its exterior is its best feature

ooh yes please!
I already have examined all the information about it(posted online) - from the internet i mean.
it's just my own...crazy research and pipe dream about (utopian!) "aging together" commune for 'arty' older talented liverpudlian people...
it's very nice place there btw...garden and derelict Litllewoods building (amazing! art deco!)[COLOR="Silver"]

Don't forget the Littlewoods underground Air Raid Shelter still in all its glory, under Botanic Park.
Look for the hump in the park, alongside the Littlewoods Building :PDT_Piratz_26:
