LADIES & KIDS ONLY SELF-DEFENCE AND KICKBOXING SCHOOL IN LIVERPOOL!!
Hi my name is Laura Arnold and I am the twice AKA/IKF World Featherweight Kickboxing Champion and fully qualified Black-Belt Instructor. I am planning on opening Liverpool’s first Ladies and Kids only kick-boxing and self-defence school and would like some feed back.
The school will operate 7 days a week from 9:30am through to 09:30pm in the evening and lessons will be by pre-booked appointment. All lessons will be taught by fully qualified black-belt instructors in a fully equipped martial arts centre. We cater for everyone, from all walks of life and everyone starts as a beginner, whether you have done martial arts previously or not. All our lessons are specifically tailored to the individual.
With the increase of crime and the raise in obesity levels (1 in 3 kids are now overweight) our kickboxing school not only focuses on self-defence but getting women and children back into sport. The children’s classes incorporate self-defence with fun fitness training, stranger danger and how to cope with bullies through the correct protocol.
For those who are interested please take 5 minutes to complete the questionnaire below and re-post.
All comments are welcome and feel free to email me for further info at lakickboxing@yahoo.co.uk
or visit out web page at www.myspace.com/lakickboxing.
Many Thanks
Laura Arnold

I am a 4th Dan in Shotokan and also teach. However, I would not dream to advertise in this way.
I think it is disgraceful. This is a forum for discussion and fun,,,,, Not a Chat up place, or a place to sell your business.

p.s. by also mentioning the fact that u are a 4th dan shotokan instructor is a way of advertsing your business also. Or their would be no need to mention this fact,as it is in your own words to do so disgraceful. Forgive me for trying to put some good back into the community by adding actually asking what the people want.

I was a brown belt In Shotokan.

Martial Arts are way too watered down for self defence.

The increase in crime was mentioned.
A lot of it is child-related, and now you want to teach them how to kick people senseless?

And I would never advertise the fact that my bro teaches and is trained in several martial arts:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

in response to phillip g.
Martial arts is not about teaching anyone how to go and beat some one up. It is about respect, discipline and control. And im sorry if you feel that im here to promote violence, because im here to do the complete opposite. I am sure all other martial artists would agree with me on this fact. Im sure all the mockery and opposition from people comes due to a lack of education in the arts. If you go to any respectable club and train in a lesson im sure you will learn what martial arts is really about. But everyone is entitled to their opinion and if we were all the same the world would be very boring. Kickboxing is becoming one of the fastest growing sports in the world with huge benefits to health and maybe if you try something before you judge then you could give a worthy argument. But then again maybe it takes a certain kind of person to become a true martial artist.

Don't take what I say about self-defence so seriously.
I'm also against boxing and wars, but they still go on.
But please don't try to say that your pupils are "special people" because I will argue with that.
