Our excellent new Shout Box unfortunately doesn't have a smiley menu, however, smilies are accepted and display if you know the 'characters/ text' that represent the smiley you wish to display.

For example typing in :) should display a smiley face pic.

(The colon represents the eyes, and the parenthesis for the mouth.)

Common Examples:

:) Smile or Happy
:( Frown or Sad
:D Open-mouthed smile - a grin, often denoting laughter
:p Smile with tongue out - used to denote 'tongue in cheek'
:handclap: Hand Clap
 Community Hug
:PDT10 Tongue Out

etc....

If you are feeling confident, click on the available smilies on Yo! Liverpool's message reply box (to the right, as you would if you were putting them in normal messages) and get the characters/ text/ code from there.

Hope that helps

Kev

In addition to the above information, if you click on this link (http://www.yoliverpool.com/forum/misc.php?do=getsmilies&editorid=vB_Editor_001) you can see the full range of smilies and their characters.

Copy and paste the text/ characters, clicking on the smiley itself won't work.

Thanks to Mandy for that one :PDT_Piratz_26:
