When I went to Bilbao, I meet with a English's couple who has got a friendship group, formed to practice the Spanish language n' promote awareness of the cultural aspects of Spanish speaking nations.

This group, meets on wednesday evenings from 8PM onwards, at Esperanto, Blend, Valparaiso and other pubs.

Other days they go to dance salsa... this is not Spanish, but I think that there are some latins... I'm not sure now, but I believe that the woman saids, are about 10 Spanish's speakers, and then about 20 English... but I repeat, I'm not sure now...

Maybe tomorrow, me and Virginia, will go to the meet up. If someone is interesting n' brave about that, just write here or PM me...

Thanks for letting us know about that Marie :)

I used to go to the Spanish circle at the Valparaiso during the 1990s when I was studying Espanol. Sometimes people studying at evening classes would meet up there to practise speaking the language together and to meet other Spanish speaking people.

An Argentinian friend of mine was visiting UK and we went there once or twice.

It's a nice venue for meet ups. :)

You know that I can make myself understood in Spanish Marie, as well as being fluent in French. Count me in (you get the ale in. lol) XXX

Very nice too, Very welcoming and more, far more there than I expected. Everyone nice - including me . . . but wasn't the Tetley's bitter ghastly? Ugh! Good job our niceness compensated.

Sounds like you had a good time. I was too tired to make it after walking from mine to Sefton General and then on to the Coffee House and back !
I will try to make the next one. They seem like nice people but after what you said about the booze, I may bring my own bottle of wine.:PDT11

Drinks r not good, sure, but people r very nice. The other reunions r in other places in the city center. Today they will go to a salsa's classes. I do not like salsa, but maybe I will go to this pub, if my friend like that.
