Giant statue on Everton Brow

Anyone heard anything about the plans to site a giant statue on Everton Brow?
Joe Anderson said there would be an announcement about this in May but months later Ive still heard nothing.
Also, the plans for a viewing tower on the site of the radar station at Seaforth.

Haven't heard anything about the statue,but the observation tower in Seaforth,is probably proposed, so you can watch the ships running aground,etc, after they close the coastguard station!:angry:
