Hello to all,

I'm a new Melbourne, Australia member hoping to find some advice or assistance re the Liverpool based paint company, Goodlass Wall. Goodlass Wall set up a few miles from Melbourne's CBD (Collingwood) around 1915 and continued till the late 1950s. There is hardly any evidence of their existence during these years apart from a few newspaper articles. I am researching part of their original site but in particular factory buildings built around the 1930s and 1940s. Can any member suggest a contact with some historical background on the company to aid my research and help get my facts straight. Ideally I would like to know if any photographs exist of their Australian branch as surprisingly there are none here that I have unearthed. I would also like to know of English architects that the company employed during the 1930s and 40s as I believe the buildings concerned were designed by English architects. I welcome any advice, suggestions or contacts as the trail here in Melbourne is infuriatingly cold and all inquiries to the relevant councils and government bodies have failed to produce any data.

Thank you for the opportunity to post, I am happy to receive direct emails (melbournehouse.pr@bigpond.com)
