Liverpool 6-0 Derby: Reds run riot to hit top
Liverpool made it 10 home goals in a week with a 6-0 home rout of Derby to underline the belief at Anfield that they are genuine Premier League title contenders.
They followed up the four they put past Toulouse in the Champions League on Tuesday with two goals apiece from Spaniards Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso, Ryan Babel's first for the club and one from substitute Andriy Voronin.
It is the first time Liverpool have led the top flight for five years and their best start to a league season since 1998.

Hi Chris don't know if you saw the match but Liverpool looked solid. I know it was only Derby and we are not getting carried away but in each of the matches we have dominated and I felt would always score which I have not always felt in the past. If we'd have had these forwards in the European Cup final we'd have walked it. Never mind this season looks good

Yes I did see the match at the James Joyce Irish bar in Baltimore. Superb! Torres is looking splendid. . . he reminds me of Prince William! And I'm very impressed by Voronin and Babel. Voronin is built like a tank. . . he's going to score a lot of goals for us. Liverpool's blond forward line is going to run rampant this season. I do think we could win the Premiership, particularly as Man U, Chelsea, and Arsenal are each having a stuttering start showing no real dominance so far.

We shouldn't have lost to AC Milan in Athens. The trophy was there for the taking and we blew it. :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Chris, you are right we should have won in Athens.
However, we made up for that by somehow winning in Istanbul so what goes round etc etc
To be honest, although i didn't like losing, at least we seem to get on with the Milan fans and personally know of no one who had a problem with them over both matches.
Oh and Derby were bloody awful yesterday.
I think I'm going to cry.
Come on you RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I'm going to cry.
Come on you RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, not the best start for the poor old rams m8 but I am sure you will not be the only ones on the end of a Liverpool result like that this season.

I'm not gonna curse my beloved reds, but WHAT A MATCH IT WAS TOO!! If we can keep solid like this all season, then Chelski wont stand a chance. Hopefully. :PDT_Aliboronz_24:
