Our one day photography courses will make you forget all about your cameras Auto setting by helping you take control of your camera to unleash your inner creativity. Part 1 of our DSLR course will unlock and demystify the magic that sits inside your camera. You will discover how to use your camera's many functions and settings to produce dynamic images that are a million miles away from a mere snapshot.
You will be guided through each section of the course with easy to follow explanations and examples and our short workshops will allow you to practice your newly discovered skills. After lunch and a short work from the classroom you will have the chance to capture images within St Nicholas Gardens which is overlooked by the Royal Liver Building. At the end of the day you will receive a full set of course notes in PDF format to take away as a handy reference tool should you need a memory jog.
To enjoy the class you will of course need to bring your DSLR camera or a suitable bridge camera. It would be helpful if you could also bring your camera's instruction manual too. We have also have DSLR camera's available for hire for a small cost. Don't worry about your current skill level as we will explain each section in an easy to follow manner and at a suitable pace. We promise we won't 'leave' without you, remember it is your course and we want you to enjoy and learn.
Our one day courses are held at the Racquet Club Hotel which is located within the Hargreaves Building on Chapel Street in Liverpool. The Hotel is an amazing place with a nice atmosphere - ideal to relax and learn. Courses begin at 10am and finish around 4pm, with a forty five minute break for lunch. You may bring your own lunch or you can grab a bite to eat in the hotels bar area (at your own cost) Tea and coffee will be provided during the morning session.
DSLR Part 1 courses are available most Saturday's and subject to demand we also run the course on Tuesday of each week.
Once you have completed our DSLR Part 1 course you may consider attending our DSLR Part 2 course. The DSLR Part 2 course deals solely with photographic composition and is held over two evenings 1 week apart. You will learn how to unleash your creativity and discover photographic rules, tips & tricks used by professionals to create amazing dynamic images. You will also be set fun photographic assignments to help you develop your new found skills.
