There seems to be a serious problem with the forums. It takes ages to load
often comes up with database error, times out and is horrendously slow.
Maybe Kev can update us on the move.

I've noticed this over a few days, told Kev yesterday so dunno if he will do anything about it he said it wasnt affecting him! *cheek*!
i did suggest he try and set up the forum on another server and put a link on this one?
its always been a little flakey on loading, and refreshing, suggesting a server/Bandwidth problem, which he should talk to his provider about to make sure other users on the same network server arnt taking up too much bandwidth.

We read you loud and clear so no need for the four posts.

Think it was about time I was out of here. Do not seem to fit in with the crowd.

I get a few database errors from time to time. I've also noticed its been slow at times recently. I hope when we move to our new server, the problems will ease significantly.

There really is nowt I can do about it.

RE: Timing out when posting a message. If you post a message and click submit only to receive an error, press the 'back' button/ arrow on your browser and it will still be there.

Yes I know about time outs etc, any idea as to when the new server will
be online ?, aswith respect the problem is only going to get worse.

Towards the end of the week, I didn't want to do anything this weekend or tomorrow (800th Birthday).

I'm thinking the problem could be to do with a recent feature addition, ie the picture resizer.

OK, no problem. Don't think it is the2 resizer as don't have any
problems with sites that use the same thing.....
