usually they are, but tonight there is a great documentary on bbc2 about british film, and then witchfinder general is on!
I think its because most tend to go out on a saturday night, but it has got slowly worse, thank god for the internet or i would be well out of my tree! *g*!
there is a free player (internet) called TVUPlayer which loads up television chanels from different countrys, some times the line up on that is good, they have a hollywood movie chanel too!

Thanks for the Site Kat will give it a whirl. If people like to go out that,s fine i used too. When you get a bit older in the tooth all home comforts are very appealing.I just think the quality in general has gone down apart from the animal programmes and some documentaries

Saturday nights ?, all nights are pretty poor compared to years ago.
What gets me is the terrestial channels, BBC,ITV etc try to outdo
each other with the lousy programs like X Factor, Dance X all premium
rate voting numbers. Years ago you could expect good progs at the
weekend, a decent film, a quiz show and a variety show, now you get
repeats of repeats... Satellite isnt much better, I have Sky+ High Definition
and I have all the channels, movies, sports and still endmup watching
a DVD....
