Thanks, B+W shots courtesy of LRO
The tram is by what used to be Breck Rd station which was up the
steps by the bridge.
In the mere lane shots the lamp is still there as is the old mere lane
cinema, the grassed area was were the playground used to be.
Iam working on more but it takes time to track em down

It has changed a lot now, Robson St, Netherfield Rd etc, really poor now
even the lamp is smashed....

Hi De Hi All,
Re The B/W photo ~ I think you might be wrong putting that at the site of Breck Road Station ~ I think it's further up Townsend Lane after it changes to Townsend Avenue. I think that's Utting Avenue going off to the left ~ where 40 years ago at least the LCPT buses had a canteen on the left corner.

It's a pretty early photo as the bridge was later replaced by one of the two big girder bridges on the CLC line. Around the time when Norris Green was being built and the Broadway shops were under the bridge and around to the right.

Cheers,
Frank Savery,

Thanks for that, I will take a few of the bridge in Broad Lane, I think
the road going off to the left is Pinehurst, difficult as it has chaged
so much, watch this space :PDT11
