For all cruise-lovers, a rather belated mention that this Saturday, 6th August, sees the date of the Radio Merseyside/ Alzheimers Society Summer Sail. Leaving the Pier Head at 2.10 pm, it will head out into Liverpool Bay, visit the exciting new Wind Farm, explore the top end of the Wirral Peninsula, and on our return, take in the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront (Yes, Ged, I’m quoting from the official Mersey Ferries leaflet!).
Aboard will be Radio Merseyside’s Roger Phillips (Ged’s favourite Liberal) and Stuart Wood (River Pilot), who will be providing a commentary on the scene unfolding before us…
Just hope we can all find our way home again… (Bad taste joke, I know, but thought I’d get it in first… otherwise, I might have felt obliged to complain about it…)
Tickets £15 (all proceeds to the Alzheimers Society) from any of the Ferry Terminals… There were just a few left earlier on today… Ring 330 1000 to check…
