Hi Kat,
We found oursleves accidentally driving along this whilst we tried to find Cheshire Oaks, I was very impressed by its scale.
One thing I miss is the hill where the cars would driver up and over giving you that funny tummy feeling!
I love the drive to Wales
I was there yesterday, the dust clouds were amazing.
Kev, funny thing is I never even knew this was going on until I stumbled across it last night *shame on me* I dont recall seing it in the local papers either! The only whispers I got two weeks ago relaited to Peel and the fact that they were over here in private talks regarding development of an area they own.
so, it was a supprise to read about this road link!

I think there's provisions in this scheme to make things safer for cyclists too, which gets a big thumbs-up from me. I've crossed the A5117 a few times at the A540 roundabout, and had a few scary encounters with people who storm through, thinking they're still on the motorway, ignoring the whole idea of giving way to traffic on the roundabout.
It's a bit of a bottleneck area for cyclists, with the popular Eureka café at Two Mills and the routes out to North Wales from Queensferry. I went through there yesterday and I was glad of all the roadworks, they slowed the traffic down (especially the HGV's) so it wasn't quite as dangerous as normal.
Not forgetting, of course, Mel Vasey (http://mel-vasey.gonetoosoon.co.uk/my_index.php) who was knocked off his bike and killed not far from there.
