Absolutely; my guardian angel, bless her, is going to throw a party when I pop my clogs; she has been constantly on her guard, touching my shoulder or pushing others away just at the right time throughout my life. No one gets as lucky as me so there is no other explanation. I have seen the same 'luck' kick in for others. Otherwise unexplainable.

I certainly believe in them.. I know I have one or maybe two.. lol:handclap:

On my mums death bed, she looked toward the corner of the room, and said.. (mind you .. no one there)... "Who is that man standing over there?"
Well, I turned and said.. (mind you..saw no one), "Can you leave for a little while , thanks. " and it seemed to work ..

But, the strangest thing.. ALSO, on me sisters death bed.. AGAIN.. the same thing happened... "Do you know who that man is over there Paulette?" Again (no one there), I turned around and said.. "Can you just go away for awhile.." The spirit or angel did.. I believe they must of been angels waiting to take me loved ones to the other side.. But, male spirits.. (so who knows?)
Lots of strange happenings on this planet of ours.. lots of theories about the after life..etc..

:rolleyes:I think sometimes animals hold the clue too..oh.. could go on and on ... BUT simply.. YES for ME....

As Beethoven died the most horrific storm descended upon Vienna; the worst in living memory. As he died there was the most awesome thunderclap.
The maestro on his deathbed clenched his fist and shook it at the heavens. A bolt of lightning and he passed to the other side.
Throughout his life he was adamant. It was not his music; he was merely the conduit for a power far beyond his comprehension.

I agree, only I think in the real evils, the banks and the taxes... :PDT_Xtremez_42:

One aunt of mine who lives in USA sent to me a little angel who say: Angels believe in you, and maybe, but I do not believe in them...

I want to think that every person gathers what he sows ... and that all those good actions come back some day to us...

Caterina..

Hi Caterina, I believe in Guardian Angels, and It's up to us, to ask for their help, the help you receive may not be
what you "WANT" but what is best for you regarding the
circumstances you are in. I request a few bob from time to time, but do I get it, that always falls on deaf ear:rolleyes:

11-08-07.

This story was Published a good few years ago in a weekly magazine. It happened at the royal Hospital Lpool, an elderly man lay dying, and his son was sitting with him,
the nurse assigned to his care made regular visits to him through the early hours,as the end came nearer for the elderly man he started to raise himself off his pillows and look towards the window and smile, he did this a few times, his son called the nurse to his bed side and told her what was happening, the nurse looked to the window and to her amazement (her words)she saw a angel but was not afraid, the son saw nothing, the old man passed peacefully. The nurse did not want to be named, much to my annoyance as I know a lot of nurses who now work in the Royal. sheesh!!

Apparently it is fairly commonplace and many in the medical profession just accept it. Also recorded through history . . .
............still not looking forward to leaving you lot but not afraid of what might be there on the other side.
It never bothered me in the past (lol); why should it in the future. I haven't been a bad lad . . . better than you lot anyway! (wink-wink).

Not sure about Guardian Angels, but one thing that kept bugging me lately was existence.

I mean like when we dead and say It Is true we keep existing In some form the thought of constantly existing bothered me like It was a negative thing, even though I thought there was nothing wrong with forever existing.

Maybe I thought of the possibility of boredom but even In the living world theres constantly new and different things happening and going on.

Usually a talk with my mum helps my mind relax and It has, even though shes skeptical to all that.

It's not like I'd be alone In these existences either.

My mind does have a habit to obsess over something for a while so It's one of those phases.

Hi Max it sounds to me you have a good bond with your Mum and she and yourself can have good discussions. I speaking for myself do have a belief and it sometimes when i most need it never lets me down but of course it is never for a selfish reason that would be no good.

Gulp! Good day - so far .................. here's hoping. You going to let everyone else look into MY crystal ball, Caterina? Hey, there's an island named after you, off the southern United States. Well done, you

naked lilac

Are you speaking of the island of Catalina... off of California... just a little different name there... Lovely island though... :snf (41): Miquel..

I had my chart done a little time ago.. by a lovely friend of mine.. But, actually only parts seem to be like myself... hemmmmm... interesting ? Yet, they needed the month, year, time and where I was born etc. etc... It even showed where the astological signs were in the heavens..

Some deep stuff there..

miguel
08-13-2007, 07:33 AM
Yup! That's the one, Lilac . . . . hadn't realised it was there till I passed it as a seaman; must check it out on the web. Only chance of ever seeing it now.
Still waiting for my 'reading' from Caterina so as long as it is not too deep. Too early in the morning for that.

I'm probably stating the obvious, but never give your date of birth out if you're using your real name.
Anybody can then get a copy of your birth certificate, which gives your mother's maiden name, and steal your identity.

Philip, I agree more over I think Kev should highlight things like this in his little chat window, we must all take care with whom we are chatting with or imparting information, I have also noticed one or two new members giving up details such as address numbers and locations, we should always be on our gaurd, sadly like you say identity theft is on the rise.
kat
I think its good that you have highlighted this:)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Seems genuine enough and I must admit, I got the analysis off Caterina. It was an impressively accurate synopsis of my personality so thanks for that, lady. :PDT_Aliboronz_24:

Stealing my identity? Hmmmmmmmmmm Would anyone want it? Seriously though there's so many who require your DOB that the secret's well out anyway. What annoys me is when in a doctors surgery you're asked for it, with people milling about you.
My DOB (and yours) is your identity and is a very personal matter but you are expected to spout it out so everyone can hear.
Someone once told me that given your name and DOB identifies you as easily as a car registration does. It's why the Police rate it so highly; driving licence DOB for instance.

PhilipG
08-13-2007, 12:23 PM
Michael.
I noticed that you've given a link which reveals your real name.
I know you didn't give the year of your birth, but it's so easy for us to give it away unitentionally, by saying how old we are, or when we started work.

Remember, just because we're paranoid doesn't mean that nobody's out to get us. :)
And if I have to give out a DOB, I lie!
Except at the Doctor's, where I've got no choice.
Besides, I don't want everybody to know I'm really 109!

miguel
08-13-2007, 12:31 PM
Snap! Agreed! The one-liner I like is, 'You're as old as you think you are if you didn't know how old you are.' Makes sense to me.
I see very old people of sixty years . . .. even thirty years of age if they abuse their bodies. On the other hand I see lots of people whose DOBs are ration book time but they are full of life.
Had to laugh. Was in a bar on the Costa del Sol and there's about seven or eight 'oldies' there. They were like a bunch of bloody teenagers yet I reckon not one of them was under seventy years of age.
A friend of mine, he's a dead spit for Leslie Phillips. Remember him? Whenever he met a lady he would smile that roguish smile of his and 'Hello, Hello, HELLO!'
This mate is over eighty and he says to me, 'Michael, dear boy. Send the ladies to me, the prettier the better' (for viewing trips). He's lovely. The ladies love him to pieces. Such old world charm. Ahh Happy days.

Miguel personal identifiable information is no laughing matter, imagine if somebody got hold of enough information to set up a bank account in your name and then there would be big trouble. I once had the bailifs knock on my door here, I had to laugh they had come to reclaim the house! somebody had said that they owned it and sold it! Sadly for them somebody had loaned money against the house.
things worked out fine in the end but it just goes to show there are rouges out their and you have to be very very carefull.

:)
with regards to the doctors issue this is being investigated most primary care providers are aware of personal details being leaked out in a public space and to that end staff are currently under going training.

miguel
08-13-2007, 12:59 PM
Hiya Kat! I know, it happens. Pays to check your bank statements. I don't think there's enough info on the statement to help you identify if it was a genuine payment.
I couldn't figure out what one £70 deduction was, from the minimum information on the statement. Checked it out. It was alright (a hotel booking).
But on another occasion a similar amount and that was a con . . . happily AMEX refunded it and took it from there. So I always go through every debit till I am happy. Must be murder though for those making lots of transactions.
Sorry about your home . . . can't be too careful but I just try to keep a balance between being too trusting and being over anxious about something that hopefully will never happen.

I meant no harm when iasked for Miguels birthday did not ask for year i an an entirely honest person and only did the reading for no motive or personal gain. So i will of course be doing no more i do this on another site for some people and my integrity has never been in question there. May i assure Miguel he has nothing to fear from me. i do not choose to walk the wrong path. I am feeling very sad it has turned this way and to Kev i say i love your site and would not willingly bring disrepute..

Caterina, I am sure that your intentions are all good, perhaps you could exchange information more privatly with some of the posters? some do have the option of sending them an email, I think its lovely that your gifted in that way. Just remember that this is an open forum and that things can appear in google. Its more for caution and safety. I when I get to know people exchange information via email or telephone.
its your safety too
