Just thought I would inform those who may not know that google earth has updated Liverpool satellite imagery. Before the update most of the images where a good 5-6 years old. Now it's pretty up to date, I'm guessing early 2006.

Enjoy:

Thanks Slade, try Flash Earth (http://www.flashearth.com/), that has some updated views too.

The Big Top is on Central Docks, I'd guess mid 2005

My area must be at least six years out of date. A tree, cut down over six years ago can still be seen in the centre right of the cresent.

Good shots of the Paradise Project area... in its infancy. Showing the basic foundations on the Chavasse Park area, and the old bus station/carpark is still there, and by the look of the buses on Paradise St, still in use. The Liver St carpark looks half-built too. Good to see it how it used to be though.

The mapping is still out of date though for that area.

Windows Live Local is very Recent, early 2007. You can tell as Birkenhead Bus Station is seen as having its new outer road constructed and Thompson Street in Tranmere is partially demolished; all of which happened between New Year and now.

One satellite site had the Kings Dock arena under construction and the Bidston Dock still there. The updates are not uniform.

Depends on where you look. We're still in the same shadow in our road. www.flashearth.com does me for now :)

I'm half glad that things aren't updated, it's always nice to see what 'was' there.
