Thanks for the info, here's more and looks very very interesting :PDT11

EIGHT hundred years of Liverpool’s history is going on show in a major two-year exhibition.

The Magical History Tour, which opens tomorrow, charts Liverpool’s rise from fishing village to one of the most important cities of the British Empire and into the modern era.

It runs at the Maritime Museum until September 27, 2009.

The exhibition has taken eight curators and 20 museum conservators and technicians 18 months to put together, and includes 450 individual items.

The centrepiece is a model of Liverpool Castle which dominated the town for 500 years.

The Magical History Tour also features Viking silver items unearthed in Cheshire and on display for the first time, King John’s 1207 Charter and a reconstruction of a dock-side street. more (http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2007/07/27/take-a-trip-down-city-s-800-years-of-memories-100252-19527510/)

I enjoyed the walk around today, lots of small displays of things found plus info about places other than Liverpool. Highlights included the video and The Castle.

I loved the timeline showing the growth of the City from the Mersey. They have the same display on the Culture Bus. Trouble is as Kev says it is very quick. It would have been great to have the facility to pause or slow it down.
