Took this a few weeks back on Saddleworth Moor. Ridiculously heavy rain and it was blowing *upwards* up the hillside :unibrow:

Wasn't sure where to put this one. Could have been worse picture of the day. Not sure what happened to the focussing. Possibly the camera tried to focus on the heavy rain rather than the date stone

Yes that was some monsoon today! I walked out to the shops around midday, and with the sunshine and warmth I wished I'd gone out on my bike after all. Two hours later I was glad I hadn't :unibrow:

ah a rain thread, how appropriate considering the weather of the past couple of days...
did consider posting this first one as a POD tomorrow, but although it was taken in West Derby there's not enough to show it's Liverpool in the pic and I'd probably have got my wristies slapped.
learning to love the rain...

It's difficult to photograph rain, but it was so heavy during the downpour on Saturday that I managed to capture it bouncing off the road at the Paradise Bus Interchange.
For one taken from the bus see POTD for 6 July.

On my way to Paradise Street, just before the rain started I noticed this building with the windows abnormally bright.
The rain actually started as I was taking this photo.
