That isn't a thunderstorm, it is Lindylou's aura.

I'm often walking down Breck rd.
I took some photos the other day of the view from there - on a clear day you can see the hills in the distance.
Will post them when I get a minute. :)

I suspect only the photographer saw the storm.
But it's the end result that counts.
The lightning picks up the hills, Lindy.

Breck rd view of hills:
They don't show up too well on the photos but can be seen quite clearly some days.

sorry, I should have pointed out that the view is looking inland - the flats might be Croxteth or even Kirkby, (Cherry lane ?? there's a tower block there) - I'm not sure.
-- and the hills - which ones are they ? Winter Hill ? I always forget.
