The lads I know at Bruntingthorpe are fast taxying their two English Electric Lightning (http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/lightning/history.html) jet interceptors this Sunday, 22nd July 2007 at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome in Leicestershire. Entry is £12.00 per person and there will also be a Canberra carrying out a couple of runs too. You will also be able to visit the hangar where XH558, the worlds only (soon to be) airworthy Avro Vulcan Bomber is being restored to flight. (http://www.tvoc.co.uk/)
It is a good day out and the only place in the UK where you can see two of these magnificent beasts move under their own (considerable) steam. It is the Lightning Preservation Group's (http://www.lightnings.org.uk/) only income and they are trying to get a roof over their heads so, ladies & gents, if you fancy it, you won't be disappointed... :snf (41)::snf (41)::snf (41)::snf (41)::snf (41):
