Kev,looking through an old box I have just come across an old comedy record recorded at the Liverpool Empire pre 1970, so going to see a record company/store that changes old vinrl record's on to cd's then for payment you give them the record thank's for the post Kev,

This does not sound like the best of deals Mike, you give them something that will never fade and in exchange you get some second-rate temporary digital recording and the 'historic' record stays with them?
Not that, with the bus fare and all, I am heading your way with cash in hand. ;)

BUT!!!
Why is there no option to have the record transferred to CD for money and you get the record back?
[this may not be important for this particular record, but it just might. I bet some records from that period go for real money]
