Ok, I've started it a bit early but a bloke needs his sleep.
The theme for April's challenge chosen by Corky is Spring
Rules can be found here (http://www.yoliverpool.com/forum/showthread.php?49225-Monthly-Themed-Challenge-Rules) (http://www.yoliverpool.com/forum/showthread.php?49225-Monthly-Themed-Challenge-Rules)
Photos can be added upto and including the 29th April and the winner will be selected the following day, in time for choosing May's Theme. So get posting your photos (once the clock has struck 12 tonight)

If you look at its info you'll se it was taken shortly after you posted Aprils thread. :p
Good luck for Aprils "Spring" theme as far I know only one type of composition can show the season"spring".

This is dying a death before its even got off the ground.
Can I suggest you change it to "The Monthly B&W challenge and not base it on a theme thing ie Yo already had a theme thing going sometime ago,it was called "go and take a pic of?" started by the boss himself,Kev in 2007.
Keep it B&W and of anything in Liverpool....even if its a spider in your backgarden or enog. :)

Yes, and blossoms
Exactly, and that is the only thing that can define Spring ie flowers in bloom. :)

By the way, who's Blossoms?

well, there were some nice scenes with little kids enjoying the spring sunshine :)
The spring theme could cover Easter eggs or lambs or chickens :) or Mothers Day. Or new shoots emerging in the garden.
Here u go, two oldies but nice:

How about NO !!! Just because the theme doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean it won't to other members and how many photos are you expected to see posted on the 2nd of April in a month long challenge ?
The winner of the previous challenge gets the right to chooses the theme for the next month, so please show a bit of respect for Corkys choice as we will for yours in May if Corky picks your 'excellent' photo as the best of April
Oh and as for only photos of flowers, you're assuming Corky meant spring as in the season. As you rightly proved with the photo you posted, the word can be interpreted in a a number of ways but even if he meant the season, As Lindy said it there are subjects other than flowers. Spring includes the birth of many forms of life
Thanks for your input though, it's greatly appreciated :)

Bit of imagination costs nowt. I assumed photographers of all abilities used it when taking a shot. Spring can be colourful flowers, Sunny days, insects crawling, washing on a breezy line or whatever spring signifies to you. I always try tp see a pic from the point of view of the taker :)

Bobbie-g, with an amber filter this would closely resemble a pride of lions on the African savannah. It gives a wholly different view of domesticated beasts. "The baaa necessities of life will come to you..." ;)
