We go to the South of the City for todays offering.

Rose Brow runs between Woolton Road/Cuckoo Lane and Gateacre Brow/Acrefiekd Road in Gateacre, Liverpool L25.

The building on the extreme left is shown as the Smithy on the Edwardian map on 1908. Notice how the first workers cottage still has the painted windows on the later photograph.

The first was taken on 11th January 1971 and the other 36 years later on 12th October 2007.

Great pictures Ged. Nice to see hardly any changes, unlike other parts of the city.

Even the old tree is still there....

Perhaps due to the strict code for the Woolton district.

My aunty who lives on Hillside Dr just South of there had a copy of the local community newsletter. Permits were needed for all tree trimming, and it noted that many had been denied. They are serious about their trees as well as their buildings in Woolton...:PDT11

The purple bins made it past the "view quality" folks though.....:PDT_Aliboronz_24:
