In a life all helter-skelter
stands one constant
the bus shelter

though they are of common aspect
on the street-scene make no impact
[unless you're running hell for leather
head down against the weather...]
why is it that they all look much the same

is it that the cash-strapped council
must only deal with Adshel
that the economies of production
lead to ease of their construction
is it our desire for all-things-simple that's to blame

must we leave it up to scruffy beggars
litter-louts, graffito-taggers
to lend character to our by-ways
mark our's out from other's highways
we stand for 'ticky-tacky' and that's a shame

And the glass is alway smashed,
by the thugs that are also smashed,
leaves me wondering why they use glass,
instead of plastic on an area so vast.

You are one hell of a drummer, Ged. ;)

Ha ha yes, a drummer, not a strummer
are you trying to say that as a poet,
i'm a bummer.

rhymes for 'perspex'
often perplex
so
not bum
but chum
hot licks
with sticks
no charmer the rhymer; is 'e
the drummer gets the chicks
when the-axe man's busy ;)
