Not as good as my one I scored in Gerard Gardens when I went round "Bounce" and then shimmied and sent "Sosky" the wrong way..
I've then got the man mountain "Benny 2 rivers" and "Bluto" comin' at me like a pair of ragin' bulls..Another little shimmie left them on their Bums and now I've gorra beat me brother in law "Bobo" the cat in goal..
The Best Goalie to come out of Gerard Gardens..Nutter he was..divin' around on concrete as if he was on grass..
So..Im in on "Bobo"..eye to eye...Give him a little glance to me left and a little body swerve as if I'm goin' that way and he's away..Flyin' through the air to his right and I calmly put it to his left..
Goal of the season 1973..Still comes up when all the Lads are together and it ends up murder..Mine was better than yours..Eh..Ehhhhhhh...gerrout side an say that..Happpppppppppyyyy days...

Yep..cracker is right Tony Lad...:unibrow:

I think McFadden's was good in the context of the game because it fired into life in the last 10 mins when we score what looked like the winner only for them to equalise in the dying moments which seemed a cert drawer and then we scored again - Beattie never saying die attitude in chasing another lost cause that was going out of play if I recall.

I personally think that had it been the winner, Fernandez goal against Man utd was a pearler, but as we lost, or should i say threw it away, it is forgotten.

Gerard, your one is a bone of contention as I recall because anyone could go past bounce, sosky was on his way to Peppers at the time and you give Bobo the evil eye as in, 'remember who's paying for your chippy tea tonight'.

Mine was still the best in the Crescent and I lay down like Charlie George - circa May 1971.

When I saw you play it more like Boy George than Charlie George:unibrow:

I remember going to the film of the 1971 FA Cup Final on the Gaumont Cinema in Camden Street. We didn't have a colour telly in those days, and it was a spectacular event. For some reason even though I knew the score, I still thought we were gonna win:rolleyes: To this day that goal by Charlie Geroge still winds me up.

sosky was on his way to Peppers at the time Yep, I remember that occasion, he was supposed to meet Yankee Tom Murphy and Christy Fitz who owed him money, or so he said. He didn't even buy a pint.

Nothing scored at Goodison will ever compare with Sandy's goal in 1969.:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

The table showed a goal by Robin Van Persie taking second place and a Paul Scholes goal in the frame. The top ten goals showed that Manchester United players held three of the top ten, Everton players captured two, the McFadden goal that was voted the seasons best and the Fernandes goal against Manchester United.
