Dreamweaver

I am looking to buy Dreamweaver and am assuming version 8 is the latest one. It is outside my budget so what was the version before? In addition, is there much difference between the 2. As I am a complete novice with this is there a basic version that may suit my needs and my budget to start building my website. I am determined to do this.

Dreamweaver CS3 is the latest version. Its had a sort of rocky road with names. 1,2,3,4, MX, MX2004, 8, and now CS3. CS3 is the best one to buy really. It'll have the most advanced CSS rendering engine and be upto date on things. I think MX2004 isn't too bad with CSS and it does have accessibility testers but if you can push to it get CS3.
