ChrisGeorge 06-01-2007, 11:14 PM Gerard, is that a recent pic? I am not sure that Donna mentioned that she worked for Chevron oil company and previously for about 30 years before that for Gulf Oil, which was taken over by Chevron. The latter gave her a nice pension when they moved down to Atlanta away from the mid-Atlantic region where we live. I can't recall the Chevron sign when you showed us the Brown Cow pub and I think we surely would have noticed it, I think, if it had been still there, for the reasons noted!

Hi Chris
I think the pic is an old one. I also think that the Chevron filling station
closed down and became a car sales place. I used to work in Cotton St
which was just down from Dublin st, used to drink in the Brown Cow and
the one on the opposite corner

Chris, that picture is at least 20 years old..another Joe Devine classic.
Maxie..this is or was Oxford St maternity hospital.
Before the new(ish) building in front of me was built that was a seperate wing to the main Oxford st hospital on the left.
My 2 Lads were born in the old demolished wing 1n 1977 and 1980.

WOW!
Mandy, I've always meant to find out, but never got round to it, but how rare are babies weighing over 11 lbs at birth?
My mum was 42 when she had me, if that makes a difference?

I think its quite rare as most babies are around 7-8 lb
when I had him at Mill Rd his cot was always full of visitors coming to see my giant of a baby :)
I was 20 when I had my son & I'm only 4'11'' so he was almost as big as me:shock:
