When i dream i dream of you
your here again and understand
but in my waking day your gone
ive no more dad to hold my hand

they say the pain will go away
that i will learn to live with sorrow
well i guess they never knew you dad
or they like me will be sad tomorrow

when they said you had passed away
I felt a piece tear off my heart
but now i know it has not gone
its just the place you took your part

I think about you every day
i sometimes cry out loud
you made me and i am you
that thought makes me proud

i know your happy with your mam
and the kettles on once more
i know your looking out for me
just like you did before
