View Full Version : Liverpool pub St Petersburg
This is a pub that has bands playing Beatles every night. I saw it in the morning when I was in St Petersburg at the beginning of the month, but sadly didnt get back there to sample the atmosphere. My friend somehow persuaded me it'd be far cheaper to pay £2 to see a basketball match instead.

Thanks, SteH. I have always wanted to go to St. Petersburg and this gives me an additional insentive go. Even though I realise the place is kind of a "theme" club. Still, the St. Petersburg - Liverpool - Beatles link is kind of irresistible.
SteH, I am sending you an email which you should have shortly. . .

Liverpool Pub has been, since the 70s, the home of the Beatles in Mexico, where young enthusiasts play versions of their most famous hits. La Morsa, El Liverpool Ensemble, Los Cadillacs Rosa and other groups have become well known for their performances in this pub.

And whilst we're on Beatle related stuff, have a look at the following video of Jake Shimabukuro playing 'My Guitar Gently Weeps', by George Harrison, on a ukelele.
Fantastic...

Very John/Julian Lennon'ish
This is the Liverpool Arms in Rhyl, not the best picture as there were cars parked in front. Its not the best pub either from what I remember of my one pint in there a few years ago.
