All joking aside( and how i love the joking with reds fans)

The day of the final has come and this Blue nose would like to wish Liverpool all the best tonight. I hope you beat the cheating AC Milan who should not be in the competition.every football fan should get behind Liverpool tonight.
If Liverpool win then football wins. If Ac then cheating wins.

Go do them:PDT_Piratz_26:

ahh, that's really nice :)

I'm not a football fanatic but it's nice to hear some good wishes from Evertonians - I wish all football fans could be more like that.

Nice to see all the 'reds' sporting their shirts in town today. I wonder how many of them will be wearing them tomorrow though if we get beat?

I feel sorry for those lads and lasses that had tickets for the final, but their plane at JLA got cancelled at the last minute. One lad was crying his heart out on the TV. All that money spent for nothing.

I'm sure they'll be proud to wear them ANY day.

Certainly ridicules the idiotic notion that all red fans are OOT's though.

I may be talking s**** not being a football enthusiast, but, I really enjoyed the first half of the game last night as I thought our lads had a good chance of winning the game.

A stupid hickup at the closing minute of the first half blighted the rapture that I had.

But the second half I thought , although the lads didn,t look defeated in any way, they did lose their upper hand and looked tired.

My finger nails were bitten to the quick. No more footy games for me for awhile.

Condolances boys.:disgust:

Call me cynical, but I'm just not convinced they are all reds fans. Like last year when the World Cup in Germany was on - the amount of people flying England flags from their cars was ridiculous - several living in my street were flying them but they weren't ever even remotely interested in football.

I like Benitez as a manager but I'm afraid he absolutely dropped the ball on Wednesday night. How the hell the absolutely garbage Zenden ever got in our team is beyond comprehension - and playing one up front against an ageing defence? Bellamy should have played on the left with Crouch and Kuyt up front. Milan looked extremely nervous in the opening half hour and were not convincing at all. If we would have gotten a couple of first half goals I think they would have collapsed.

I think you're right, should have gone for it but when I look at palyers like Zenden and Kewell, i think, no, they're just not CL winners material when you compare them with the opposition but then I think back to how the hell Biscan and Traore got one then think yes, maybe anything's possible but if the two scouse lads Gerrard and Carragher are not on form like Istanbul and in the F.A. Cup final v West Ham to drag them through by the scruff of their necks, then they look very ordinary.

I must admit when they announced the team the idea of Pennant and Zenden winning Champions League medals just didnt look right.

Going back to 2005, who can forget Josemi, who despite being an unused sub stripped his tracky off and managed to get himself next to Gerrard for the presentation and on nearly all the photos afterwards

I admit that Peter Crouch wasn't one of my favourite signings either but the man has pulled us out the mire a few times this year - he deserved to be on the pitch long before the 75th minute. Yeah, Gerrard & Carragher do have to keep pulling them out of the ****. Pity Carragher didn't get rid of the ball leading up to the free kick but I'd never hold anything against him - completely dedicated player that our team would be lost without. I do feel also that Hamann was a big factor in our victory 2 years ago - I do like the look of Mascherano though - I think he will be a great player for us.

Mixed feelings over the likes of this one though and the one of Rooney doing a cartwheel for England with jewellry falling out of his pockets, or the plane on the runway on bricks. There's also a phoney William Hill letter doing the rounds with odds on which Liverpool player will get their house burgled first due to the recent spate of housebreaks. Do we laugh at ourselves or put the culprits right by quoting crime figures for Liverpool being nowhere near the highest or mention the lovely people of Aintree who took in racegoers during the National bomb scare?

That's the dilema innit ? Many of these morons who post about crime on Merseyside actually believe that it's like that because they have read about it..........on the internet from other like minded morons.

Do you just ignore these tools, treat them with the contempt they deserve ?
or try to explain that national crime stats show that there are many urban centres that have higher rates of all kinds of crime including burgalry and car theft ?

Nearly every call for the past 2 or 3 days has been Lfc CL final orientated. I also listen to the legends footy phone-in too.

Now forgive me if i'm wrong but why is it always everyone elses fault.

The police chief here and Athens has been on, a uefa official and sportswriters.

It would appear that if up to 40,000 fans hadn't gone over there when only 17,500 had tickets, a lot hell bent on getting in by hook or by crook, then there wouldn't have been a problem.

True, 1st fault, a ground not built for footy - ie. no turnstiles.

2nd fault - not enough tickets for the true fans - if that's not bad enough, why multiply the problem by knowing your buying from touts or forgeries. I couldn't believe the two fans on the news last night boasting that they got in on forgeries given to them by their mates. They should be ashamed knowing that they kept true fans out.

All good and well if you're jetting out there just for the atmosphere of the main square with no intentions of gatecrashing but come on.......

yeah, it's gettin' on my nerves !

It's the same old cry of everyone else being at fault.

I'm sick of hearing about bladdy football anyway. :(

Another childhood illusion crashes and burns. I always thought that when you won one of these tournaments that the "double decker bus fairy" came by that night after everyone was tucked up in bed and left it ready for the team to ride in the next day.

Who knew that teams actually did one up themselves just in case ?
