Did anyone see the pathetic excuse for a comedy show by Harry Enfield and his mate whose name I can't remember last week? Cut a long story short Abramovich wants to buy LFC's European history, Scousers appear complaining and saying it is European city of culture next year, and thus it is implied that this is absurd for Liverpool to be cultured.

Why I find this offensive is because it is a form of racism in that it ethnically satirises the people of liverpool as badly dressed, 70's permed prats.who are thick and aggressive.

This is a form of racial stereotyping that would be unheard of against Blacks or Asians so why is it ok to do this to Liverpool people?

Liverpool has one of the fastest growing economies in Britain is a cosmopolitan and chic city, with a sophisticated city centre and 3 or 4 universities at the forefront of research. Liverpool has a wealth of art galleries and museums, worldclass parks wealthy suburbs, a strong middle class and one of the fastest growing airports in Britain. It hosts the worlds premier horse racing event and has 2 or 3 world class football teams.

No doubt there will be people who say you can't laugh at yourself, but I can I find many things about Liverpool very amusing but this show is harming our image across the country and the world, it is damaging investment because people still perceive the city as a provincial crime ridden backwater. I think this stereotyping hints of jealousy and I don't find it or Harry funny.

'Ruddy Hell. It's Harry and Paul' (Whitehouse) just left me feeling really annoyed that I'd wasted 30 minutes watching it, because every single part of it was just completely unfunny.

I don't watch much TV these days, but I never miss 'Have I Got News For You' (which is genuinely funny).
(That silly prat, Lembit Opik, made a right show of himself! HaHa!).
So, I carried on watching because I always watch the 10 o'clock news.

I wonder if anybody else finds Harry Enfield funny?

Thought there were flashes of fun in Whitehouses fast show - suit you sir but Enfield I can take or leave - usually leave. If t.v. producers or those in power keep sanctioning shows for him based on his tried and tested methods of skitting scousers a getting a laugh off the southern softies then so be it, he's probably still in the 80s in his mind when his cr@p song 'loadsamoney' was out but lets hope all his fans who watch aren't

Recently I haven't found Enfield and Whitehouse all that funny. The older stuff was better.

They've ripped the **** out of lots of groups - working class families, Brummies, Scousers, Italians, blacks... the list goes on. It's not some big grudge against Liverpudlians, and neither is it anything to do with jealousy. It's just comedy.

Maybe the stereotype portrayed is out of date, but the track-suit clad, thick ,aggressive stereotype is as relevent as ever.A walk down any busy street will show that.
As for Harry Endfield and Paul Whitehouse ; I think their latest show is a vehicle for them getting more "serious" acting roles.Their and characters and situations are sharply observed but don't really provide the laughs.

I like the Mandela sketches, plus the dig at Bono and The Edge but it's not award winning material.

I watched the first one and didn't find it funny, so I havn't bothered with it since.

I've gone off them now - not particularly because of the Scouse thing but I've just gone off them in general.
